iSurv1vor: Macedonia Rules & Regulations
Participation and Activity
1.1 - All players must dedicate themselves to contribute and give their all for all thirty-nine days of filming. If a player cannot dedicate themselves for the period, man up and tell production with as much time as possible.
1.2 - All players must be willing to record video confessionals portraying their thoughts on a regular basis. Private journals will be given to each castaway, only viewable by a trusted group of prediction writers. Each castaway must post video confessionals, though they have the option to also post written confessionals, post conversations with players. These thoughts can cover any spectrum players choose from strategy and alliances, to how one is feeling that particular day. Confessionals should be your own thoughts towards the game, and not just conversations with others, though you may post anything you so wish.(i) Confessionals will be used for episodes after the season is over.1.3 - Challenge are a key point to the game of survivor. Though there are different styles of challenges, of different lengths, and of different skills. Most challenges will be twenty-four hours to forty-eight hours in length; however, in the off occasion that they are live, production will do it's best to accommodate all players. Challenges will be other non-live, semi-live, or live: all of the following will be explained by production as they occur, but be wary of the difference in the future. Deadlines will always be discussed with all players to allow all contestants to participate to the utmost of their ability. If a castaway cannot attend a particular challenge, it is their duty to inform production; if not informed, production reserves the right to continue the challenge without said player. If a player is not going to be active - simply don't play.
(ii) A minimum of two confessionals are required per round. Any less without valid excuse, and players will be subject to lose votes at tribal council, or receive a self-vote.
1.4 - At any point if a castaway thinks they can no longer participate in the overall process, it it their duty to inform production at the earliest convenience. Said player will be removed from the game with no replacement should the game already be in progress. Proceedings following a player removal in terms of their overall addition to the rest of the game will be decided by Production.
Player Etiquette
2.1 - Appropriate behavior towards both fellow cast members and the Production crew is paramount. Personal threats towards other players and/or the staff will not be permitted in any way, shape, or form. Should any sort of behavior such as this come to light, Production reserves the right to remove the guilty party from the game immediately.(i) Lying, backstabbing, or any actions that are seen as viable, though villainous, will not count as inappropriate behaviour - that's Survivor.2.2 Players are strictly forbidden from speaking to players outside of their tribe in the game. This includes members of opposite tribes, pre-jurors, jurors, or any alum. This is one of the most important rules in iSurv1vor to further the experience. During the game you are meant to feel secluded and abandoned, this rule is in place to keep it genuinely survivor. If caught, castaways will receive a formal warning, followed by further action taken from the production team, leading up to anything as serious as expulsion.(i) Players will be informed at which points they may talk to castaways outside of their original tribe.2.3 Production will not tolerate any accusations of fixing the competition without solid evidence to support the claim. If any player or alum have an issue with the game, please direct to a member of the production crew for resolution. Numerous hosts are in place to prevent rigging, all cases of tampering are treated with the highest of importance.
Real Life
3.1 Though sometimes arguable, contestant do have real lives. This is a fact acknowledged by production. This however, is also not a constant excuse for persistent inactivity.
3.2 Should a player have a real life crisis having anything to do with family/work/etc, it is the players duty to inform production about this. However, you must not fill us in on all the details of your personal life - clearly Production isn't that keen to pry, let us know about the situation in general and we will meet the castaway in the middle in finding a solution.
3.3 Should a contestant lose the ability to keep up with journal posting for a round for a reason, they must inform the hosting team of the reasons; this also is not a constant excuse for lack of journal posting.
3.4 Castaways will not be penalized for making Production aware of any away time, if events happen whilst the contestant is away, it was part of the pre-planned timeline and cannot be controlled by production.
3.5 Say solution one more time, solution.
Production & Further Amendments
4.1 The production team reserve to right to amend rules at any point as a means of necessary precaution without debate from the cast members. The production team is a whole crew, any and all decisions will be cleared by Sandy in the process, therefore it will be a collective decision.(i) Rule changes are most likely to be seen within challenges as to avoid any loopholes that may come up during the challenge, castaways are expected to respect these changes without excuse.4.2 Production has a pre-planned timeline to fit any and all events that occur within the game. This is planned way before castaways are chosen, and therefore any twist is not set in stone in order to help or hinder any member of the game. Any accusations of such will not be tolerated.
4.3 No cheating, plain and simple. The rules are in place for a reason, don't be That Guy. Any player found cheating is subject to immediate expulsion, this includes anyone and everyone, alumni or player.(i) Though clearly less severe, loopholes within their own right are cheating, play the game as it's meant to be, not seeking out loopholes to the faster solution.4.4 Proboards has inserted a flood system in order to reduce post spamming. Any "bots" or "hacks" to avoid this flooding system is deemed a source of cheating. Any use of said programs during posting challenges is strictly forbidden. If any player is found guilty, that player will automatically put their tribe in tribal council, or have their own vote at tribal council revoked and receive a penalty self-vote.
4.5 There is an unfortunate side to hosting within executive decisions, whether it be during challenges or regarding other situations. Production will attempt to deal with any and all problems in the most fair way possible for all within the game - that being said, it is expected of all players to respect these hard decisions made by the hosts, as they do have the final word in all situations.
4.6 Results of all challenges, tribal councils, or any in game event will be tabulated by a designated production member, most results will be given by Sandy. All of these will be in their proper sections, and purposeful.
iSurv1vor Points
5.1 Though iSurv1vor points have been utilized for various reasons within past seasons, they will not come into play within Macedonia - therefore there is no reason to be concerned with the above for any situation whatsoever. If you have any concerns with this amendment for the current season, contact production.
Tribal Council
6.1 Tribal Council is an integral part of the Survivor experience. There are two types of iSurv1vor Tribal Councils: live and non-live. Both are self-explanatory, the cast will be notified preemptively which kind of Tribal Council it will be before hand.(i) Most Tribal Council's pre-merge will be non-live and players will have around twenty-four hours to submit a vote.6.2 There will be a mandatory question and answer period at every Tribal Council, regardless of whether it is live or non-live. All players must respond to these questions without excuse. If it is non-live, this would be through a video response in the designated tribal council thread, and if it's l1ve, within the skype call.
(i) If all players are around, production may see fit to do an impromptu L1VE TC, but this will be discussed at the time.(i) Players are warned to watch out just what they are posting in the Tribal Council thread, make sure it isn't something from your confessional.6.3 If all votes are in, Production reserves the right to post Tribal Council before the given result time.
6.4 All votes must be submitted within your journal, within the Voting History thread provided. Castaways must use the parchment provided as well. All further rules are within the voting threads within journals.
6.5 Once a vote is locked in, it cannot be changed under any circumstances. Do not post it unless you are absolutely certain that is what you want to do. Proboards gives a nifty log system to check edits and deletes, players will be reprimanded.(i) If a player cannot vote within the timeframe given, they are expected to message all members of production to notify them of this. Facebook or Skype. Only then will a viable solution be granted.6.6 A self-vote will incur if any rules or broken, or further, if a player does not vote within the voting frame given. This vote will be given to you personally and count against you in the results. This abides by a two strike system, two warnings, and you're out. Simple as that.
6.7 In the event of a tie, a re-vote will occur amongst all the players who are not in the tie. If this results in a further tie, it will result in a purple rock drawing in which by random selection one person will be eliminated. The two who are in the tie, and the person with immunity will be immune.
Hidden Immunity Idols
7.1 If an immunity idol is in play, further information about it will be announced when the time is right, be patient.
Jury Duty and Endgame Scenario
8.1 If a castaway is part of the jury, they are expected to not only vote for the winner but participate in all further jury duties.
8.2 As a member of the jury, the players will determine the winner of this season, they must agree to not discuss in-game events with those currently competing in the game.(i) Any jury members found undermining this rule will lose their vote in the final tribal council.8.3 The date and time for the Final Tribal Council will be arranged amongst the finalists and Production, should any juror not be able to make the L1VE tribal council, they will have a pre-determined call with the finalists in order to ask their questions.
In Conclusion
9.1 All these rules are in place in order to ensure the best possible experience for any and all players, follow them, and everything will be fun.
9.2 Have fun, it's a game. Everyone is here to enjoy themselves.
9.3 Any further questions can be pointed towards Production and any member will answer your concerns.
