On this episode, I am just really really hoping that Mike Reilly saves the predictability on Roma tribe. On Roma, the Romulus 6 wants to split the vote 3-3 between two of Joe Purcell, Allan and Alex. Mike knows he's on the bottom and has hinted at maybe flipping? He could make the vote 4-3-2 which would be amazing. But a couple of problems. The Romulus 6 has told Alex that the only chance of Joe Purcell/Allan/Alex not all going back to back is that they might get rid of Mike first. I don't understand why Alex takes this information and runs to Mike with it to get him to flip? Instead, he says he hates Mike and finds him annoying and wants him out. I really hope he takes a step back and realizes that he should target Mike as the person to flip over to him, not as the person to get out!!! Ugh frustrating. Also, them throwing challenges is the dumbest thing ever. They're convinced that Joe Purcell/Dave/Fei are some tight group and need to be broken up. Silly since I really don't think Dave even wants to work with Joe Purcell lol.

Dru is leading that big Romulus alliance and he's doing a fantastic job of it - the idea of throwing a challenge given the circumstances is pretty risky but I wouldn't call it dumb. He said that he's more than willing to enter a merge where the numbers are smaller but loyal and as his tribe has three people ready to flip at any moment it's incredibly smart to just throw away the unworthy.
That being said if all three of the Remus were to be eliminated one after the other it would still only put them at the top fourteen versus the Quintz alliance who would occupy the majority numbers with seven on six. If this ended up happening, the most important person in the game would be Nicole more than likely turning against Ellada and becoming a bottom bitch on the Romulus alliance.
At this point in the game both sides have reached a stalemate position, they've both got targets and there are enough to ride out the next few rounds fairly easily. The problem lies in which tribe is willing to pull the trigger first.
With both idols still in play, I wouldn't bet on Dave using it for a power move. Alex is doing a fantastic job of pulling the wool over Dru's eyes and should they lose and the Romulus pact of splitting the vote works then it's bye bye Alex/Joe (delete where applicable) - it's difficult to watch Alex throw away potentially bringing Mike over BUT why switch out safety in the big numbers for a smaller group who are proven to suck at challenges? Mike flipping would hurt his game immensely.

Look I get Roma's plan to lose challenges on purpose but the only catch 22 might be that Joe/Allan could still pull the victory( that would be hilarious). Alex needs to shut his pride about hating Mike and should try to work out a temporary deal for the round to save his own behind before he gets popped off like the rest.
As for the Gold tribe, I think they might try to do the same thing just to keep their friends alive in the game so that the voting will get harder as the final merge approaches. I think Ryan is in trouble... Just my 2 cents to make up for not posting on episode 7.

Straight up I have ZERO respect for throwing tribe challenge, throw all the individual challenges you want, whatever, that's your own game, but throwing tribe challenges is just such a fiesta oyu to the game, I HATE it so much, ugh I could go fucking on and on about it ugh skdflsdk

I also agree with you Samm, but it's now a big strategy move in big games like this... and as a host I hate it, with all the effort that has been planned for the game. UGH! But it might as well happen.
